Jason Campbell, Kyle Boller Split Reps at Last Practice Before Broncos Game

Jason Campbell and Kyle Boller split practice repetitions Friday and both remained in the picture to start at quarterback for the Raiders on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Campbell is battling a sore knee but has made progress and coach Tom Cable indicated he would probably start, though that could change if his condition suddenly or unexpectedly took a turn for the worse.

Bruce Gradkowski, the team's starting quarterback, has a bum passing shoulder but did go through some limited practice work this week after missing last week's game against the 49ers. Cable described Gradkowski, who didn't participate in team drills this week, as "very questionable."

Campbell bruised his knee while starting in place of Gradkowski last Sunday. Boller, the team's third-string quarterback who has yet to play this season, is the only healthy quarterback on the roster.

"They both look better today -- meaning Bruce and Jason," said Cable. "I thought Jason was pretty close today, so if it stays this way, I think it would be him. Again, that's with no setbacks."

Campbell had a rough go in last week's 17-9 loss to the 49ers, going two full quarters without completing a pass, throwing two interceptions and finishing with the lowest passer rating (10.7) by a Raiders quarterback in 35 years. But the Raiders appear willing to give him another chance, though if he does go and struggles again, he could get a quick hook.

Meanwhile, running backs Darren McFadden (hamstring) and Michael Bennett (hamstring) remain questionable, though both practiced in limited fashion all week.

Cable said he's optimistic that both will be available on Sunday.
