Washington, D.C. (August 28, 2012) ? D.C. United announced today that midfielder Dwayne De Rosario and defender Dejan Jakovic have both been named to the Canadian World Cup qualifying roster for a home and away matchup with Panama on September 7th in Toronto, and September 11th in Panama City. The two previously were called up for a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago on August 15th, in which Canada won by a score of 2-0. Jakovic played 90 minutes for Canada, while De Rosario did not join the team due to a sore left shoulder.

To say things didn?t go D.C. United?s way in Saturday?s 3-0 defeat at Montreal would be a gross understatement. Officiating decisions, which have haunted the Black-and-Red of late, benefitted the hosts ? as did timely finishing and a fortuitous bounce of the ball.
D.C. United?s trip to Montreal ended on a sour note as the hosts turned in one of their best performances of the year in a 3-0 win. Here?s a look at a few key statistics from Saturday?s result:

About the game...
I think it was ok. I like what we did in the first half. Then, we were kind of chasing the game, but I think we were in good shape there. I felt the PK was soft. The players are doing what they can and I was very proud of the effort and the mentality through the group. But, when you don?t get a break, it?s going to be tough. The guys coming in didn?t look a 100%.
