Cardinals vs. Seahawks: Mike Williams Puts Seattle in Charge of NFC West

This is how a defensive coach like Pete Carroll must prefer things on offense. He managed to finally acquire a physical runner like Marshawn Lynch, a former Pac-10 running back. He posted up 6-foot-5 Mike Williams, his former wide receiver star at USC, for short grabs. He kicked field goal after field goal.

The ingredients came together for a 22-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, which gave the Seattle Seahawks (4-2) control of the NFC West.

Olindo Mare kept salvaging sputtering drives and kicked five field goals. He's now made 30 straight.

Here are some Quick Hits:

o. Williams, the former SC receiver, is quickly becoming one of the bigger stories of the NFL season. The guy was a bust because he had become a beast. He ate and ate. He was out of the league.

But there he was last week against the Bears latching on to 10 passes in a win. There was Williams on Sunday grabbing 11 more passes in the victory over the Cardinals.
