Lofa Tatupu Undergoes Knee Surgeries

RENTON, Wash. -- The Seahawks announced Thursday that veteran linebacker Lofa Tatupu underwent arthroscopic surgery on both knees earlier in the day.

The surgery, performed team physicians Dr. Ed Khalfayan and Mike McAdam, took place at the Seattle Surgery Center, and the doctors said the surgery was a success.

At the same time, the team signed defensive tackle Jay Alford, safety James Bridley and wide receiver Chris Carter to 2011 contracts.
