Dodgers Get Their Man in Don Mattingly, but More Manager Moves to Come

Filed under: Dodgers, YankeesNEW YORK -- In 2006, when Don Mattingly was still the hitting coach for manager Joe Torre's Yankees, Bruce Springsteen released "The Seeger Sessions" in which he sang the songs of Pete Seeger.

Mattingly must have played the CD in his vehicle that day because he walked through the Yankee Stadium clubhouse before a game singing "Pay me! Pay me! Pay me my money down!"

Mattingly should get a pay raise now that the Los Angeles Dodgers have promoted him from hitting coach to Torre's replacement next season as manager in Chavez Ravine.
