Edgar Renteria Considering Retirement

Giants shortsop Edgar Renteria has been limited to 71 games this year thanks to a myriad of injuries, and he's currently sidelined by a sore elbow as his team makes its final push toward a possible playoff spot.

The frustration those health woes have generated is elevated enough to have Renteria considering retirement at the end of this season.

"I feel good," Renteria told the San Francisco Chronicle. "My mind is good, but sometimes the body says, 'No,' because I've had a lot of injuries this year."
