And to hear Texans coach Gary Kubiak tell it, the status of the the perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver is likely to remain that way through Sunday.
Johnson, a four-time Pro Bowl selection who many believe the NFL's best receiver, sustained what Kubiak called a mild ankle sprain in the Texans' come-from-behind, overtime victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
"He'll be day to day throughout the week," Kubiak said a day after the Texans rallied from a 17-point third-quarter deficit to beat the Redskins, 30-27, in overtime. "We feel better about it today than we did yesterday coming out of the game. He'll be day-to-day as we head into the weekend."
Kubiak said the ankle sprain sustained by James Casey was a bit more serve.
"It's a more-than-mild ankle sprain," he said. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
