On a night away from home where very few things went right for D.C. United, coming away with a point was a minor victory against the Chicago Fire.

Former Fire stalwart Josh Wolff got one back on his former team, scoring in the 73rd minute to snatch a 1-1 draw in a game that saw DC outplayed for significant stretches of the match.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. ? The Chicago Fire set the all-time MLS record for ties in a single season Thursday night, giving up a late goal to draw D.C. United 1-1 in front of 15,818 at Toyota Park.

Former Fire forward Josh Wolff scored for DC, hammering a close range shot over Chicago goalie Sean Johnson in the 73rd minute to steal a point for United and hand the Fire their 15th draw of the year.

DC goalkeeper Hamid doubtful for tough Sporting KC test

WASHINGTON ? D.C. United head into Sunday?s tough matchup against Sporting Kansas City uncertain about who their starting goalkeeper might be.

Regular starter Bill Hamid was subbed out halftime of Thursday?s 1-1 draw against the Chicago Fire after going down clutching his right hamstring following a goal kick.
