When Malcolm Jenkins came out of the NFL combine in 2009, his status seemed uncertain. He was an All-American cornerback at Ohio State who shut down virtually every receiver he played against. He was big, as corners go, 6-feet, 211 pounds, but he ran "just" a 4.5 40-yard dash. Was he too slow to cover the NFL's fastest receivers?
Well, let's answer a question with a question. Did anybody think Jenkins looked slow on that 96-yard interception return for a touchdown Sunday against St. Louis?
Jenkins' TD return and another interception in the end zone Sunday in the Saints' 31-13 win over the Cardinals earned him NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
