Oklahoma Celebrates After Another 'Not Over Til It's Over' Victory

DALLAS - Standing on the Cotton Bowl logo at midfield, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops posed for photos with his family. Over on the 20-yard line, Oklahoma center Eric Mensik hoisted a young boy above his head and twirled him around. Oklahoma's Travis Lewis romped through the end zone wearing the Golden Hat trophy. On the sideline, former Oklahoma great Adrian Peterson took it all in and smiled.

Just another Big 12 Conference victory for the eighth-ranked Sooners, right? Not quite. This was against Texas. And, in what's become routine for Oklahoma this season, it literally wasn't over until it was over. Not until Texas' Aaron Williams fumbled a punt return, allowing Oklahoma to run out the final 62 seconds.

Oklahoma 28, Texas 20.

"It's been a long time since we won one of these and being a senior it means so much more because I won't get another chance at this," Mensik told FanHouse. "It means a lot. This rivalry is so prominent, so strong. It's always fun to play in.

"It's something else. I'm going to remember this for the rest of my life."
