Since the NHL season is less than two weeks old, it's a bit early to be talking about anything as the best or worst of the season. But the call that resulted in Penguins defenseman Kris Letang being ejected from his teams 3-2 overtime win against the New York Islanders on Friday night is an early season contender for the worst call you'll see all year.With the Penguins leading, 2-0, midway through the second period, Letang hit Islanders forward Blake Comeau with an open-ice, shoulder-to-shoulder hit that is completely legal and within the rules of the game. The on-ice officials didn't see it that way, however, and issued a five-minute major -- as well as a game misconduct -- for an illegal check to the head.
