Jordan Eberle Scores First NHL Goal

Much has been made of the Edmonton Oilers and the young kids they kept on the NHL roster for the regular season.

While there is little doubt that forwards Taylor Hall, Magnus Paajarvi, and Jordan Eberle can play at the NHL level, only time will tell if they can handle the 82-game grind that is an NHL regular season.

At least for one night, there's no denying that the kids are all right. Eberle's first goal -- a short-handed beauty -- keyed a 4-0 whitewash of the Alberta rival Calgary Flames, a team Edmonton failed to beat in six meetings during their miserable 2009-10 season. For an Edmonton team that had little go right last season as they finished dead last in the NHL, this was a fantastic start and a rousing way to introduce a bunch of new players to a loyal fan base.
