Jaguars Suddenly, Shockingly Sitting in First Place

Marcedes LewisThe Jacksonville Jaguars are someplace few imagined possible two weeks ago:

First place in the AFC South.

The Jaguars, after back-to-back losses by 25 points in Weeks 2 and 3, won for a second consecutive week Sunday, rallying from an early 10-point deficit to beat the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo, 36-26.

The victory moved the Jaguars into a four-way tie for first place in the division at 3-2.

"I thought we showed some grit hanging in there in an adverse situation and really took control of the game,'' Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio told Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union.

For the Jaguars, as important it was that they played well -- not only on the road, but in a week following a victory over the Indianapolis Colts. That's something that historically they haven't always done since the 2002 inception of the AFC South.
