Derek Boogaard Spears Chris Neil Below the Belt

Not to be out done by Mike Cammalleri's slash, last night New York Ranger Derek Boogaard left us first impressions of him as a Ranger by taking his stick and delivering a below-the-belt shot to Ottawa's Chris Neil. The Rangers were in Ottawa for their final pre-season game. Halfway through the first period, Boogaard delivered this shot to Neil:



Boogaard received a 5-minute major and was ejected for the play. There's no word on a possible suspension at the moment, but you can be sure the league will be taking a look at this one. There's also no word on how Boogaard plans to teach kids about this at his fight school.
