Not to be out done by Mike Cammalleri's slash, last night New York Ranger Derek Boogaard left us first impressions of him as a Ranger by taking his stick and delivering a below-the-belt shot to Ottawa's Chris Neil. The Rangers were in Ottawa for their final pre-season game. Halfway through the first period, Boogaard delivered this shot to Neil:Boogaard received a 5-minute major and was ejected for the play. There's no word on a possible suspension at the moment, but you can be sure the league will be taking a look at this one. There's also no word on how Boogaard plans to teach kids about this at his fight school.
