Chargers Fail to Sell Out, Sparking Another San Diego Blackout

Sunday's game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Chargers at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium failed to sell out before Thursday's deadline, resulting in another blackout in the Chargers' local television market.

The league mandates a television blackout within a 75-mile radius of the stadium where the game is being played if it doesn't sell out 72 hours prior to kickoff. San Diego's home opener against Jacksonville also failed to sell out before the deadline, ending a string of 48 consecutive sellouts at the Chargers' home park.

In a statement, the Chargers said more than 6,500 tickets to the game remain unsold.
