Trip to Dallas is a homecoming for Woolard

Throughout his professional soccer career, D.C. United left back Daniel Woolard has called many places home.

Woolard was drafted 47th overall in the 2007 MLS Superdraft by the Chicago Fire, where he spent the first three seasons of his pro career. In early 2010, the Fire released the defender. Woolard was unable to secure an MLS contract due to injuries, so he then opted to play for NASL side Carolina Railhawks in September of last year. In January, Woolard signed with D.C. United and has become a staple in Ben Olsen's starting back line.
