Falcons' Running Game Gains Momentum With an Assist From Receivers

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA. -- The weather is turning. Can you run the football?

The NFL is full of under-sized defenses built to play in space and attack the quarterback. Can you run the football?

The playoffs are going to be full of quarterbacks with prowess in the two-minute drill? Can you run the football and keep it from them?

The Falcons can run the football.

There has been a lot made of the progress of Matt Ryan as a quarterback. He's accurate, he throws on time. His receivers. Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez, are among the NFL's best.

The offensive line -- tackles Sam Baker and Tyson Clabo, center Todd McClure, and guards Justin Blalock and Harvey Dahl -- does not allow defneders to get loose at Ryan.
