D.C. United coaches and the technical staff are heading to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Friday morning to attend the 2012 MLS Combine from January 6-11 in advance of the SuperDraft on January 12.
United holds the seventh overall pick in the SuperDraft?s first round, and won?t pick again until the Supplemental Draft that is scheduled for January 17 and will take place via a conference call.
According to assistant coach Chad Ashton, it?s more than just the on-the-field traits D.C. is hoping to find in a quality collegiate player.
