Jacob Pullen's nightmare has crept ever closer to the Kansas State senior. The No. 24 Wildcats (13-6, 1-3) fell Monday to Missouri 75-59 in Columbia. After last week's loss to Colorado, Pullen said that he would refuse an NIT berth if presented. Now, after dropping their third conference game in four chances, that scenario certainly seems possible.
No. 13 Missouri (16-3, 2-2) used a balanced scoring attack to overwhelm K-State to get a much-needed second conference win after losses to Texas A&M and Colorado. The Tigers were led by senior Marcus Denmon with 14, but four other Tigers were in double figures.
Pullen, in an attempt to ward off the evil demons of the NIT, led K-State with 16 points.
